A Little About Me

Picture of Me in 2005

Over 20 years ago, I weighed more than 200 pounds on my 5'4" frame. I eventually lost 85 pounds, but losing the weight turned out to be only part of the story.

Over the years, my weight went up and down because my relationship with food, my body, and myself hadn't really changed. I was tired of the cycle: eat what I told myself I shouldn't, get angry with myself, promise I'd do better tomorrow, and start another diet. I didn't need another diet. I needed to understand why I kept getting in my own way—and learn how to make changes that actually lasted.

That experience was one of the things that led me to life and health coaching.

As I began coaching others, I discovered that the same things that had made change difficult for me—habits, mindset, self-doubt, accountability, fear, and old patterns—showed up in my clients' lives too. And I quickly realized that coaching wasn't really about telling people what to do. It was about helping them figure out what was getting in their way, what they actually wanted, and how to move forward.

I became a Certified Life and Health Coach because I wanted to do that work at a deeper level. My own experiences taught me that change isn't always about knowing what to do. Most of us already know what we should do. The harder part is figuring out how to actually do it—and keep doing it when life gets in the way.

I've also spent much of my career in the corporate world, so I understand the demands of work, responsibility, relationships, and trying to keep all the pieces of life moving at once. Sometimes you can be successful on paper and still find yourself thinking, Is this really what I want? Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you aren't quite sure what that change should look like.

That's where coaching can help.

Today, I work with people who are ready for something to be different—whether that's changing their relationship with food and their body, becoming more productive and accountable, navigating a career or life transition, preparing for retirement, improving relationships, managing stress, or simply figuring out what they want next.

The common thread isn't the problem. It's the desire to stop feeling stuck and start moving forward.

My coaching is personal, practical, and never one-size-fits-all. We'll look at what's really getting in your way, challenge the patterns and beliefs that aren't serving you, and create realistic steps that fit your actual life—not some imaginary version of it.

I don't believe you need to become a completely different person to create a life you love. I believe you need to get clear about what matters to you, understand what's holding you back, and start making choices that are aligned with the person you want to be.

If you're ready for something to change, I'd love to help you figure out what comes next.
